This project in Deep Cove was a complete transformation of an aging home into a bright, contemporary residence inspired by Scandinavian design. The scope included a full interior and exterior renovation, a new second-floor addition, basement lowering, and the creation of a legal basement suite to maximize the home’s functionality and long-term value.
The result is a modern, light-filled home that feels connected to its natural surroundings while offering the durability and flexibility required for modern family living.
The design focused on simplicity, natural materials, and clean architectural lines. Large windows were incorporated throughout the home to bring in abundant natural light and connect the interior spaces to the surrounding forested landscape that makes Deep Cove so unique.
The new second floor allowed for a spacious primary suite and additional family bedrooms, while the lowered basement created the ceiling height needed for a fully self-contained legal suite. Careful planning ensured the suite feels bright and comfortable, providing flexible living options for extended family or rental income.
